5 Leadership Outcomes offered by the Trudeau Leadership School (TLS)

Toddler Transport for Leadership Learning

The Trudeau Leadership School offers an innovative child-transportation method that builds leadership in the next generation, as can be seen in the featured photograph.

1. Close physical contact with Dad without being mushy or coddled.
2. Eyes forward to take it all in.
3. Build responsibility for keeping self in balance with just enough support to make it safe but not enough to stifle the survival instinct.
4. Build strong neck and back muscles to carry the weight of responsibility for fixing your damaged country.
5. Observe the respect Dad gets from people in uniform and learn to expect same.

Toddler Transport for Leadership Learning

Leadership Grip Demonstrated

Not since 1994 when Nelson Mandela became President of South Africa have I witnessed such euphoria as evident on Canadian social media sites (excluding those two provinces that shall remain nameless, but without whose forex we’d be struggling ). The fuss over Justin Trudeau!  (I suspect people are going to have a hard time calling him Mr. Trudeau, because he’s as close as Canada gets to homegrown royalty, ready to reclaim the throne). Well, it’s quite astonishing. The talk about the ‘lifting of oppression’ now that Harper’s on his way out, is rampant.  And with it, the build up of unrealistic expectations about what Trudeau and his Liberals can do to reclaim Canada’s international reputation and to  kickstart the economy so we can all live happily ever after.

My tongue-in-cheek 5 points above do bear direct relevance to the leadership we’re expecting from young Justin whether we voted for him or not.  It’s not all there is to it, but I do hope he has what it takes.  For starters, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with falling down the stairs (twice). I’ve done it myself.

As for the disparaging thing about ‘at least he has nice hair’. Well, so does Stephen Harper as far as I can tell, and that didn’t do much for us here in the east.  And the other thing – see Pierre’s head in the pic – that’s called male pattern baldness. You inherit it from your father. Even though as a boy and a young man you may have a lush thatch of hair, dad’s genes will kick in – the hairline will recede.  C’est la vie.

And, by the way, I don’t know if there is such a place as the Trudeau Leadership School.  It just sounded right at the time.

Nice blog apart from the fact that Harper has “Ken” (i.e. plastic looking) hair which cannot be compared to Justin’s, male patterned baldness or not. Just saying … Julia
